Neil Fried, Department of Labor
Neil is an Economist with the State of Alaska, Department of Labor, Research & Analysis Section. He produces economic data and analysis on a variety of economic issues facing Alaska. Neil is a primary author of articles appearing in the monthly magazine Alaska Economic Trends, published by the Alaska Department of Labor. His articles cover a wide variety of the State's economic issues.

2020 Economic Update for Alaska Insurers
Neil is going to provide an in depth overview of the state of Alaska's Economy. He will offer his perspective on whether we are recovering from a recession, discuss unemployment rates as well as employers success with finding workers. Neil will also share his knowledge of growing and declining industries, the condition of Alaska's housing market, the status of income and earnings in Alaska and changes in the cost of living. These topics and issues will assist Members in understanding the economic impact on Alaska insurers.
Neil has served on the Governors Oil and Gas Policy Task Force, Anchorage Economic Development Committee, the Governors Technology Task Force, the Alaska Public Media Board, the King Career Center’s Business Industries Advisory Committee and others.
