NAHU Members:
On behalf of the NAHU staff and HUPAC Board of Trustees, I would like to
let you know about some exciting changes happening with our political
action committee, HUPAC. NAHU has entered into a relationship with a
new PAC administration vendor, Stakeholder Inc. With Stakeholder, we
will revolutionize HUPAC on every level, including efficiency,
cost-effectiveness and member communications. You'll begin to notice
improvements, particularly to the HUPAC website, by mid-November. But
in order to increase our available services, there will be a transition
process. To make the switch to our new vendor as smooth as possible,
there are a few changes we need to let you know about, and a few areas
where we need to ask for your help.
1. In order to make your contribution experience easier and more
efficient, we are moving all monthly bankdraft contributions to the end
of each month. This means that instead of your bank account being
charged on the first business day of each month, it will be charged on
the last. Those of you already on bankdraft will not see a draft on
October 1. Instead, the next HUPAC bankdraft will occur on October 31,
and will be processed by our new vendor. If you are on monthly credit
card draft, your draft date is already the last business day of the
month and will not change.
2. Effective immediately, all contributions should be mailed to the
following addresses:

Please remember that Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations
require that all contributions to HUPAC be deposited quickly into our
account. If a contribution is $50 or more, we have only 10 calendar
days to deposit the money! Because of these strict guidelines, please
overnight or express-deliver larger donations to Stakeholder's physical
address listed above.
3. To make sure our new vendor has completely accurate donor
information and up-to-date FEC-required paperwork, we are also asking
that every contributor fill out the attached "PAC Contribution Form" and
return it to the P.O. Box address listed above. Please do this even if
you have been donating to HUPAC for years, and even if your donation
level or payment method will not change. We just need to be absolutely
certain that we have accurate donation records going forward. Soon, you
will also be able to go online to submit this information at
www.hupac.org under "Update My Information".
4. If you are not already a HUPAC donor, please consider becoming one
today. With the multitude of challenges our industry faces in the
current political climate it is crucial that every single one of us be
contributing at least at the "365 Club" level - $1 per day. For less
than the cost of a cup of coffee, you will be making a daily
contribution to your future and that of your clients. If you can give
more, please do. The benefits of different contribution levels will
soon be available online at www.hupac.org for
you to review. Once you have decided which contribution level is right
for you, please download and fill out the "PAC Contribution Form" and mail
it to the address above.
We are excited about this new association with Stakeholder, Inc. which
will establish a positive experience for NAHU members and our

For those of you who, like me, have been contributing for years, I thank
you once more for your generosity and continuous commitment to this
important aspect of our organization's future. This is just one more
example of how NAHU is looking to the future and working to "Get the
Edge."
